Intro to IPODs & MP3 Players Learn how to set-up an iPod or other MP3 player, how to navigate a player, how to explore all the options available on a player such as music, photos, and other extras, how to store files on a player, how to download music, how to add music from CDs, how to create playlists, how to sort music by artist, album, genre, etc, and how to use add-ons with a player. Intro to CSS  CSS, Cascading Style Sheets, is a style language used to streamline the design and consistency of web sites. CSS covers fonts, colors, margins, lines, height, width, background images, advanced positions and many other things. Knowing CSS is a great benefit to anyone who creates web sites. Intro to Quicken Learn how to use Quicken personal accounting software to keep accurate financial records.  Course covers how to create accounts, enter and modify transactions in a register, reconcile bank accounts, and prepare reports for income tax purposes. A Parent's View-Understanding Facebook, MySpace, & other Social Networks Teens and Computers . . . What's a Parent to Do? This class will help parents gain an understanding of the rapidly evolving world of MySpace, Facebook, instant messaging, text messaging, and more. Class will cover what these technologies are and how they can be used or abused by your teenagers as well as how to  create family friendly rules that reduce potential dangers. Disk Drive Imaging In this class you will learn to use software that can take an exact snapshot of your hard drive so that it can be easily restored if disaster strikes or if you ever wanted to install a larger hard drive without losing your information. How to Convert LPs and Tapes to CDs -The Hardware Learn what hardware, software, and other equipment is needed to convert LPs and Tapes to CDs. This class will focus on the technical part of converting LPS and Tapes to CDs. The Process class (starts Feb 1i8) will focus on the actual process of converting LPS and tapes to CDs. Inventory Your Personal Belongings In this class, students will use the Insurance Information Institutes FREE software to inventory their belongings. Students can create inventories for all  the rooms in their homes. This inventory can include information such as each item’s purchase date, serial number, and price and even a digital picture. Intro to Dreamweaver (web page building) Students will learn tto use Dreamweaver, Web development software, to create their own web pages. Topics covered in class include creating web pages, formatting text for size, color, & alignment; creating ordered and unordered lists, linking pages together with hyperlinks, placing  images on web pages, and uploading pages to your web site. Intro to Windows Movie Maker Learn the basic concepts of video editing on the PC using this free version Windows Movie Maker. Students will use their own video to create a short movie in class. Computer Security-Adware & Spyware Learn how to identify, prevent, and recover from various common computer disasters. Creating Web Graphics Using Photoshop CS3 Students who already know how to use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements will learn how to create and optimize their own original graphics for use on a web page. Intermediate Dreamweaver (web page building) Students who have mastered the basics of Dreamweaver will learn to add visual interest to their Web pages using the interactive and design features of Dreamweaver. How to Convert VHS to DVD As you are probably aware, VHS tapes have about a ten year life before they begin to degrade. DVDs and CDs ensure the quality of your tapes for 50-100 years. If you have home movies or a library of tapes on VHS that you would like transfer to DVD or CD, this class will teach you an affordable way to transfer them to these formats.
