The USW/USS Granite City Works Steel Learning Center is the home of the Career Development Program of the United Steelworkers and United States Steel, Granite City Works. Our Career Development Program is a negotiated contractual benefit between the USW and U S Steel that provides educational opportunities to union Steelworkers. Through this collaborative effort, the USW and U S Steel hope to provide a positive learning environment that helps every Steelworker obtain the skills needed to meet the challenges and opportunities of the twenty-first century.

Using the Institute for Career Development format of customized classes, tuition assistance, and TV411, the USW/USS Granite City Works Learning Center offers every Steelworker the opportunity to upgrade and expand his or her educational level.
